What to Expect

We Look Forward to Meeting You!

Welcome to Antioch Baptist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

It's important to us that you feel welcome when you join us. Regardless of which event you attend or whether you attend in-person or virtual, our goal is to create an atmosphere where you can experience God with us. We are a loving congregation and feel honored that you have decided to join us.

Attire

Most people are dressed in business casual attire. However, on Sunday morning some will come to worship in their "Sunday Best" and others wear jeans. On Sundays our pastor wears everything from jeans and his Antioch merchandise to a suit and tie and the occasional clergy robe.

Agenda

The order of service on Sunday morning usually stays the same every week. We release whatever is on the inside of us through an opening song, prayer and another song. Next, we recieve what God has in store for us through a bible-based sermon. Finally, we are encouraged to respond to God by taking the next step closer to loving Him, loving others, and becoming and making disciples. We end each worship service by reciting our mission statement and a call and response final blessing as follows.

Pastor: "May the peace of God be unto you"

Congregation: "And also unto you."

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

John 15:7
